Normal Life?
Yesterday the kids went to Houston with their Nana, I pick them up next weekend. Today Eric left for kids camp with the church. I had a few minutes to eat a very quick lunch with him before he left, ran to Kroger to get him Red Bulls and candy for the week because we forgot, brought them back to the church just in time since they were piling in the busses, kissed him goodbye, and headed home. I was so excited to have a week to myself, I sang as loud as I could in the car (not that, that is abnormal), thought about all the things I could do while they were gone (like scrapbooking, organizing, ect.), pulled up in front of the garage, unlocked the apartment door, walked in and immediately became depressed because there was no one to talk to. So, I turned on the T.V. and got on the internet and started to play MobWars on facebook because I'm addicted. After a few hours on the computer, I decided that I should quit being lazy and go to the gym. So, I went and worked out for an hour which was so nice because I haven't worked out in months and not to mention, I can walk there since there is one in the complex. I've been pretty upset about not being able to work out lately, but there really wasn't time with all this house-selling-moving-building-a-different-house thing. It has consumed all my time and unfortunaly took a slight toll on my body (we won't go there though). So, I finally feel like I have a normal life, okay maybe abnormal for the week because I have no one to take care of, but I'm slowly progressing back into my "normal" schedule. I left the apartment cluttered and dirty and didn't have to worry if I was going to get the "there's a showing call" or the "buyers wanted to come by again call" or the "appraiser will be there in 20 minutes call" or the "inspector is coming by so please make sure everything is out of his way call". There was nothing to worry about and besides the apartment is so much smaller than my house it should take no time to clean. That's the other great feeling. Cleaning also consumed my life. Everytime I turned around there was more stuff to clean, move, rearrange, ect...I don't have to worry. If the sink has a few dishes, who cares? If there is a tiny little spot on the floor, who cares? It's only us who has to see it, why does the whole floor have to be mopped everyday? It's nice to know I am only cleaning for us, and yes, I still plan on cleaning. The funny thing about all this is that I'm getting my "normal" routine back in play and in about 3-4 weeks Jade starts Kinder, Emma starts Pre-K, and I start a new job. Then we get to move again! This time things don't go to storage, I have to unpack all the boxes, figure out what to put in a garage sale, decorate my house (which is one thing I absolutely love to do), and then wish I could buy a thousand new things to decorate even more. I am beginning to think "normal" is just a word, not a lifestyle.
